Exercise 6.34 (OpenIntro Statistics Edition 4)
David
Yes, 6.33 and 6.34 are similar exercises, and the "Other" category should itself be considered a bin.
Thank you for noting the confusion around the "prefer to forage in certain habitats over others" phrasing, which I can now see looks like it could be a subtle reference to the "Other" category. That wasn't the intent -- "others" is not intended to specifically refer to "Other". I've added an entry to our typos spreadsheet to revisit that wording when we revise for the 5th Edition to remove the word "others" from that question to avoid this connection.
Cheers,
David

That's helpful. Thank you, sir! Looking forward to the next edition. Keep up the good work.

Would someone please confirm whether or not the method for solving Exercise 6.34 is similar to the preceding question?
Any hints for the hypothesis would be helpful as well.
I'm tripped up on having a bin named Other and the question being whether or not barking deer prefer certain habitats over others. (Does this mean bin A, B, and C over D or any one bin over any other bins.)
Thanks in advance.
