Chapter 8: Inference for Categorical Data

This set of labs discusses methods of inference for numerical data, starting with tests for a single population proportion and extending to inference for two or more groups in the two-way table setting. The second lab also introduces odds ratios and their use for summarizing data collected via outcome-dependent sampling.
Lab Notes

1. Inference for Binomial Proportions

Introduces methods of inference for binomial proportions in the one-sample and two-sample cases.

2. Inference for Two-Way Tables

Generalizes inference for binomial proportions to the setting of two-way contingency tables and also discusses measures of association in two-by-two tables.
